Click Compose, compose your message and click the Send button
After hitting the Send button, the user should receive the following options:
Option Description Request Read Receipt A notification email is sent to you when the recipient has opened your secure message. Restricted - No Print, No Reply The secure message is delivered, but the recipient is unable to reply to it, or print it. Restricted - No Print The secure message is delivered, but the recipient is unable to print it. Expire Message in 1 / 7 / 30 Days The secure message expires after the specified time scale. Once expired, you cannot respond to the message. Other actions (e.g. print, delete) are available.
The recipient will receive 2 emails, named "Secure Messaging Password Notification" and "Secure Messaging Notification"
"Secure Messaging Password Notification" will include a link that the recipient can click on to access their Mimecast portal, as well as a first-time, temporary password.
When they visit the link and login, they will be required to create a new password before accessing their Secure Messaging Portal
The recipient will only receive this email once
"Secure Messaging Notification" will include a link that the recipient can click on to access their Secure Messaging Portal. This is the normal email that they will receive whenever they receive a secure message via Mimecast.
- After the user logs in they will be able to access the email and reply to it freely.
