Overview: With Evolve Teams, the client (end-user) will be offered direct routing of a DID within their MS Teams Client (desktop, web) and Teams Handsets. 

The following article and sub-articles will highlight common use case questions brought up in the INTERNAL BETA/CUSTOMER BETA (Early Field Trial) account with Evolve Teams deployed to users.

Use Case 1: How to Identify an Evolve Teams account 

  • The admin client calls into the Customer Support Operations center to troubleshoot an issue with an Evolve Teams user

I. Enterprise Level

When an Enterprise is ready to be configured with Evolve Teams, the following setting is checked and saved: "Enable Evolve Teams Enterprise Voice" 

This setting allows for the OSSMosis automation to apply the necessary configuration to Evolve IP's platform

II. Enterprise Level Search 


When searching for the enterprise, look for the Microsoft Teams Icon before the Enterprise Name.

This allows for technicians to easily determine the exact Evolve Teams account you're troubleshooting

III. User License Type

User seats that are configured with Evolve Teams have two possible license types: EIPTEAMSVOICE & EIPTEAMSVOICEPLUS

  • Identify the User License Type in USER FEATURES screen in OSSmosis 5: Telephony →  Users (TILE) → Select (USER) → User Features (TAB)

IV. Device Type

User seats are assigned the following DEVICE TYPE as their Primary device profile/configuration required for Evolve Teams direct routing 

  • Identify the Device Type in User screen in OSSmosis 5: Telephony →  Users (TILE) → Select (USER) → Edit (USER)
