This assumes you have vSphere running on your PC.
- Click VCENTER.hq.webcoretech.com
- Click the Datacenters tab
- Double-click the Austin data center
- Click 172.29.1.24
- Click the Summary tab
- Under the Storage pane, double-click nexenta-backup-md1000-a-b-A
- Right-click on nexenta-backup-md1000-a-b-A, and select Browse Datastore
- In the Datastore Browser, double-click the ISOs directory
- Click the Upload icon near the top of the window, and select Upload File
- Browse Explorer to find the ISO you want and click the Open button
- Click Yes at the Upload/Download Operation Warning screen, and wait for the upload to finish
- Right-click the VM that you want to boot and click Edit Settings
- Now in the Virtual Machine Properties
- Under the Hardware tab, click CD/DVD drive 1
- Device Status: tick Connected and Connect at power on
- Device Type/Datastore ISO File/Browse
- In Browse Datastores windows, click the .ISO that you want to boot and click Open
- Under the Options tab/Advanced/Boot Options
- Under Force BIOS Setup
- Tick "The next time the virtual machine boots, force entry into the BIOS setup screen"
- Click OK
- Under Force BIOS Setup
- Under the Hardware tab, click CD/DVD drive 1
- Right-click the VM, then Power/Restart Guest
At this point the VM should boot to BIOS, and you can adjust the boot order to make the CD/DVD drive first, and then boot to your ISO.
