AASTRAS- Network Down
When you get the above error on an Aastra, ensure the LAN cable is plugged into the LAN port and not the PC. Ensure phone is behind an EW, if it’s not, IP phone is coming from must be whitelisted (www.whatismyip.com)
Aastra – Options -> Admin Menu(4) -> 347479 -> Config Server(1) -> Download Protocol (1) -> Use TFTP
Aastra – Options -> Admin Menu(4) -> 347479 -> Config Server(1) -> TFTP Settings(2) -> Primary Server (1) -> tftp.voip.evolveip.net (Only has to be entered if Remote user not behind EW)
Aastra – Options -> Admin Menu(4) -> 347479 -> Config Server(1) -> TFTP Settings(2) -> Primary Path(2) -> ENTERPRISE# (Only has to be entered if Remote user not behind EW)
Aastra – Options -> Admin Menu(4) -> 347479 -> Network Settings(2) -> DHCP Settings(1) -> DHCP(1) -> Use DHCP? Yes.
Aastra – Options -> Admin Menu(4) -> 347479 -> Network Settings(2) -> Ethernet & VLAN(9) -> VLAN Settings(4) -> VLAN Enable(1) -> YES
Aastra – Options -> Admin Menu(4) -> 347479 -> Network Settings(2) -> Ethernet & VLAN(9) -> VLAN Settings(4) -> LAN Port VLAN -> Must match Nagios/Other working phones
If settings are verified & phone still does not work, switch port will need to be checked to ensure it’s a TAGGED VOICE PORT (IE: Trunked VLAN2
